Import a manuscript

Bring markdown or plain text into a book manuscript.

Import is useful when you already have draft text outside BadgerLeaf. Keep the first import small until you understand how headings, book-only blocks, audio-only blocks, and assets appear in the manuscript editor.

  1. Select the target book in the Explorer.
  2. Use the manuscript import action.
  3. Choose a plain text or markdown source file.
  4. Wait for processing to finish before judging the imported structure.
  5. Open the manuscript editor and check headings, scene breaks, and any imported references.
